Custodian Lead

Description

The Custodian Support Lead is essential to maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of ACI Jet facilities while promoting a collaborative and supportive environment for both daytime and nighttime custodial teams. The ideal candidate will actively participate in cleaning tasks and assist team members in their responsibilities, fostering a positive and productive atmosphere for ACI Jet employees, vendors, and clients.

Reports To

The Custodian Lead will report directly to the Custodian Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned as required by management)

• Collaborate with daytime and nighttime custodial staff to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
• Uphold and enforce the cleanliness standards established by the Custodian Supervisor, ensuring all custodial team members maintain these expectations
• Assist in procuring supplies and equipment necessary for cleaning tasks, working with staff to address and meet supply needs
• Regularly inspect facility conditions, identify repair needs, safety hazards, or service requests, and communicate these effectively to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.
• Operate a company vehicle to obtain supplies and materials essential for cleaning operations
• Promote and adhere to safe practices, ensuring proper use of chemical cleaners and company equipment
• Support timely and professional responses to ACI Jet maintenance requests by coordinating efforts with the custodial team
• Contribute actively to ACI Jet's Safety and Quality Management Systems (SQMS) program to uphold the highest standards in all duties
• Monitor and report cleaning supply inventory levels to the Custodian Supervisor to ensure adequate stock
• Provide support to the custodial team by covering employee meal breaks as needed.
• Assist the Custodian Supervisor in training new employees on cleaning procedures, equipment usage, and departmental standards
• Participate in quarterly employee assessments by providing feedback on individual performance to the Custodian Supervisor

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
• Highly motivated and organized with strong attention to detail
• Capability to lift up to 25 pounds and engage in physical activities such as sitting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English and/or Spanish
• Eligibility to work in the United States

Highly Desirable

• 2 or more years Facility Porter experience

Pay Scale: $25.00 - $27.00/hr | DOE
