We are seeking a junior- to mid-level associate with 2-3 years of relevant experience to join our Taxation Practice Group in our Boston, New York, or Washington DC office.
· Qualified candidates must have experience in tax matters related to fund formation, investment management transactions and partnership taxation.
· Experience in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, representing buyers and sellers in transaction tax matters, tax counseling experience for choice of entity, LLC agreement and tax-side transactional work preferred.
· Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
· We are seeking a well-rounded, dynamic, highly motivated associate with exceptional analytical, drafting, and project management skills, who is willing to be flexible with assignments, has the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, and has a strong desire to contribute to a team.
· Positive attitude, willingness to learn and improve, and dedication to serving our clients are essential.
· Top academics and experience required. AmLaw 100 experience strongly preferred.
· To be considered, a candidate must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school and must be in good standing and an active member of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where the candidate is admitted to practice.
· Timely admission to the state Bar coinciding with office of hire will be a condition of employment. We have a growing, dynamic fund formation practice.
