Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Tester to assist in testing software applications for accessibility compliance and functionality. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, designers, and business analysts to ensure our products meet quality standards, comply with Section 508 and WCAG accessibility guidelines, and function properly across various platforms.
Requirements:Key Responsibilities:
- Execute test cases and report defects using Jira.
- Perform manual and automated testing to validate application functionality.
- Test software for accessibility compliance with Section 508 and WCAG standards.
- Document test results, issues, and resolutions clearly and accurately.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and troubleshoot reported defects.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure fixes do not introduce new issues.
- Provide feedback on usability and accessibility improvements.
- Stay up to date with testing methodologies, accessibility regulations, and industry best practices.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and reviews
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with Jira or other defect tracking tools.
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies.
- Familiarity with Section 508 and WCAG accessibility guidelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow structured test plans.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of assistive technologies such as screen readers (JAWS, ANDI and WAVE)
