Position Overview
The Radiation Therapists are responsible for administering radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists.
Essential Job Functions
- Works with cancer patients delivering highly precise and closely monitored doses of radiation.
- Responsibilities include machine warm ups, equipment and patient set-ups, delivering daily treatments, assisting with the simulation process, and delivering the highest standards of care to our patients.
- Operating multiple units of highly technical equipment for patient setups, treatment planning, and actual daily treatments.
- Making independent judgment, compassionate, caring and good communication skills.
Required
- Completion of Radiation Oncology Therapy training
- Current FL radiation therapist license
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of Elekta equipment
- Dosimetry, CT/Simulations, X-ray, and/or medical office clinical experience
Hours
- Full-time; 4 days per week/10 hour shifts
- Rotating shift assignments
