- Safely operated delivery trucks and transport materials to various locations in compliance with company policies, laws, and regulations
- Load and unload materials, ensuring items are securely fastened and safely delivered
- Maintain proper documentation for all deliveries, verifying the accuracy of orders and shipment details, and submit daily driving logs to the Warehouse Manager
- Perform scheduled safety checks, preventive maintenance, and vehicle inspections, reporting mechanical issues and advising management on necessary repairs
- Handle hazardous materials safely and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Resolve shipping discrepancies promptly and collect payments for cash sales when required
- Perform various warehouse duties, including receiving, organizing, and maintaining inventory, and operate warehouse material-handling equipment as needed
- Follow safety guidelines and participate in required safety and compliance training programs
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or leadership team
- Valid driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVWR) over 26,001 lbs., in compliance with commercial motor vehicle laws
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate deliveries and record-keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Basic math skills for handling material calculations and inventory management
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers
- Able to work effectively under pressure in stressful or emergency situations
- Familiarity with plumbing is a plus
- Dependable and safety-conscious with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable working in both driving and warehouse environments
- A proactive problem solver who adapts well to changing job site conditions and works efficiently under pressure
