About the Role
As a Senior Strategist for our Analytics & Intelligence team, you're passionate about developing measurement strategies for clients, gathering and analyzing data to provide meaningful insights to internal and external teams across various industries, aiding overall business development and clients to achieve their goals and drive value.
This role blends strategic and technical knowledge, focusing on data interpretation, dashboard creation, and client consultation, while avoiding the hands-on technical aspects of web analytics implementation. The ideal candidate would have experience with measurement platforms such as Google Analytics and a broad understanding of digital marketing channels and their impact on performance metrics, which would allow the candidate to synthesize complex analytics data into compelling insights to support consulting client projects.

The salary range for the Senior Strategist, Digital Analytics position is between $75,000 and $85,000. The actual annual salary is dependent upon many factors, such as the individual's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications. AKDM does not offer relocation assistance or sponsorship. This is a hybrid role and we're looking for someone to come into our Dumbo office 1 - 2 times a week.
- Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with multiple business teams to assess their objectives and develop tracking and tagging strategies that enable individuals and teams to measure their success effectively.
- Develop, review and interpret measurement plans to ensure that all key business metrics are being tracked and reported accurately.
- Consult with clients and their agencies on projects involving web analytics platform selection and implementation.
- Offer expert consulting services to clients and internal teams, to help them understand the capabilities of web analytics platforms and technical challenges.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure that key stakeholders are informed of best practices for metrics, exposing them to client management and decision makers.
- Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops on web analytics for clients.
- Assist in diagnosing issues with data tracking and reporting, acting as a liaison between the technical team and client to ensure data quality.
- Collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues related to web analytics tracking.
- Build custom dashboards for clients and internal teams across various industries to report on relevant KPI's utilizing data visualization tools, such as Looker.
- Gather, sort and organize client's raw data from platforms such as Google Analytics or client CRM platforms to provide internal teams with the relevant data needed to execute deliverables.
- Participate in internal and external trainings to improve client growth using analytics platforms, dashboards, and interpreting reports.
- Stay current on web analytics and digital intelligence trends and tools to provide informed recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- Report directly to the Group Director of Intelligence.
- Competencies :
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 4 years of experience with digital analytics, data interpretation, and reporting working with web analytics tools.
- Deep understanding of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and other web analytics platforms, with the ability to configure and interpret reports.
- Knowledge of tracking methodologies, data layers, and tag management systems (e.g., Google Tag Manager) without needing to perform implementation.
- Ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies, identify the root cause, and collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues.
- Work well across functional teams, bridging the gap between technical experts and business managers.
- Proven critical thinking, analytical problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Self-starter : Someone who thrives in a deadline-oriented environment and is highly organized. You have the ability to manage multiple tasks with ease, strategically prioritize them, and analyze opportunities to make recommendations on approaches.
- Comfortable trying new things, quick to learn new skills and tools, and able to proactively identify new opportunities.
- Strong communicator; offers both strong, clear writing as well as impressive presentation skills. Understands the audience and tailors message accordingly to help bridge the gap between technology and business management.
