About the Position:
We are seeking an Anatomic Pathology Support specialist to join our team at ACL Digital. The successful candidate will assist in the diagnosis of diseases through the examination of tissues and cells.
Responsibilities:
- Assist pathologists in the examination of tissues and cells.
- Conduct necropsy examinations of small and large laboratory animals.
- Prepare tissues and cells for microscopic examination.
- Interpret results from microscopic examination.
Technical Expertise:
- Have a strong understanding of histopathology and cytology techniques.
- Be able to use microscopes and other laboratory equipment.
- Be familiar with laboratory safety procedures and protocols.
Education and Qualifications:
- Associate degree in animal science/zoology or related biology field plus 1 year's experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Ability to obtain/maintain certification in the Biological Suitability Assessment Program (BSAP).
- Ability to obtain/maintain DoJ Security Risk Assessment (SRA) approval.
- Ability to obtain/maintain CDC approval to work with BSAT material.
