Data Solutions Architect / Data SME

Job Details :

Key Responsibilities :

Design and Development : Design scalable and efficient data architecture, including data models, storage solutions, and data integration processes.

Develop data management frameworks and standards to ensure data integrity, quality, and security.

Create and maintain comprehensive data architecture documentation.

Collaboration : Work closely with business leaders, data savvy colleagues to understand their business problems, and desired outcomes using data strategy and translate these requirements into data solutions using various technology stack.

Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and software developers to implement data solutions.

Act as a liaison between IT and business units to ensure alignment of data initiatives with business objectives.

Collaborate with machine learning and AI teams to ensure data architecture supports scalable model training, inference, and deployment.

Design and optimize data pipelines and storage solutions to meet the requirements of ML / AI workflows.

Ensure real-time and batch processing capabilities align with ML / AI operational needs.

Implementation and Maintenance : Hands-on implementation of data architecture projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

Monitor and maintain data systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures.

Innovation and Best Practices : Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data architecture and management.

Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within the existing data infrastructure.

Promote best practices in data architecture and data management throughout the organization.

Compliance and Security : Ensure data solutions comply with relevant data privacy and security regulations.

Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.

Technical Skills :

A minimum of 10 years of experience in data architecture, data analysis, or data management

Strong proficiency in working with large complex data sets

Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, and relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)

Proficient in Cloud platforms ( AWS / Azure )

Experience of designing the modern data lake architectures

Experience with data warehousing solutions such as Redshift, or Google Big Query.

Expertise in ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica) and data integration frameworks.

Proficiency with big data technologies (Hadoop, Kafka, etc.) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).

Proficient in programming languages : SQL, Python.

Strong grasp of data governance principles, data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA), and security best practices.

Soft Skills :

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience : Minimum of 10 years of experience in data architecture, data management, or a related role.

Preferably Professional certifications in data architecture or related fields.

Experience with machine learning and advanced analytics.
