Job Summary:
We are seeking a Data Center Systems Administrator & Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain data center infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations through structured planning, proactive monitoring, and efficient troubleshooting. This role will be responsible for IT hardware deployment, network cabling, alarm/ticket remediation, and adherence to data center design standards for optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Deployment & Management
- Plan and execute rack, stack, and cabling for IT hardware in data center environments.
- Perform adds, moves, changes, and retirements of IT hardware and network cabling.
- Maintain compliance with data center standards, ensuring efficient use of space, power, cooling, and structured cabling.
- Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide proactive and break-fix support for alarms and ticket remediation related to data center equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and escalate as necessary.
- Change & Asset Management
- Strict adherence to Change Management processes within the designated 10 PM – 6 AM window to minimize disruptions.
- Maintain data center documentation, reports, and asset tracking, ensuring accuracy in records.
- Identify and remediate asset discrepancies within the data center environment.
- Project Coordination
- Lead and organize infrastructure build-out projects, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute IT and infrastructure initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in data center infrastructure support, including hardware installation and cabling.
- Strong understanding of rack/stack procedures, structured cabling standards, and IT hardware configurations.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including structured cabling (fiber & copper), patching, and network device connectivity.
- Familiarity with power distribution units (PDUs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and cooling systems.
- Experience in ticketing systems for incident tracking and change control.
- Ability to work independently and within a team to execute projects on time and within budget.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills to track assets and maintain infrastructure records.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Data Center Operations, Network , or CCNA.
- Experience in large-scale data center environments with adherence to structured processes.
- Hands-on experience with alarm monitoring and remediation in a data center setting.
Additional Information:
- Work Schedule: Must be available to work during the 10 PM – 6 AM Change Management Window.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform physical tasks related to hardware installation and cable management.
Salary : $45 - $47
