Description -
We are currently seeking a Field Engineering Specialist with the following key qualifications:
Experience and Requirements:
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays.
- Positions within company territory supplying natural gas are subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing regulations (CFR 49, Parts 40 and 199).
- Primary residence must be within 40 minutes of an operating center in the designated zone.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of math, physics, construction practices, and design/work packaging standards.
- Familiarity with federal/state regulations, gas/electric codes, OSHA rules, and DOT requirements.
- Proficiency in utility construction, project management, and material procurement processes.
- Mechanical, survey, and drafting skills with the ability to create accurate engineering-related maps.
- Advanced surveying, right-of-way, and financial analysis knowledge.
- Effective communication (interpersonal, verbal, written).
- Proficient in computer software (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools; experience with STORMS/ArcFM is a plus).
- Must be switch-qualified in electrical operations and gas emergency procedures.
Salary : $30 - $32
