Pay Rate : $70.00 / hr on W2 or $80.00 / hr on C2C

Job Description :

s a Software Engineer focused on Developer Experience (DevEx), you will be at the forefront of creating an efficient and enjoyable development workflow. Your role will involve improving the overall development lifecycle, from code writing and review to deployment and monitoring. You will work closely with other engineers to understand their needs, alleviate their pain points, and implement solutions that enable them to work more effectively and independently.

What you will accomplish :

• Design, build, and upkeep tools and systems to elevate engineering team productivity.
• Work with developers to pinpoint and remedy bottlenecks in the development workflow. Own and deliver project-based work, as assigned and support the Production Engineering teams as a point of escalation.
• Advance automation tools for robust continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Craft and maintain clear, accessible internal documentation for development practices.
• Champion code health, rigorous testing, and maintainability standards.
• Collect feedback and metrics to refine the developer experience continually.
• Develop self-service options for developers to foster independence from other teams.
• Maintain a stable, scalable, and secure development environment while keeping abreast of the latest DevOps innovations.

Cloud infrastructure is complete- now to move applications and to move CICD application to productions to new landing zones

Expected to take on day to day work- will include product road map (building new automation, introducing automation pipeline, pairing up with team knowledge pipeline)

2 will go to - Pipeline refactoring

Terraform experience- High level 1

Jenkins / Kubernetes experience 2

CI applications- GitHub Actions, Jenkins 2

ArgoCD 3

Some knowledge of Kubernetes 3

OctopusDeploy- used for automated the deployment process into the Cloud 4

Python or Golang / Yammal experience- configuration languages 4

Having experience with a migration initiative is a plus but not required 5

AWS knowledge - Amazon web services 5
