Life Enrichment Assistant

Become a Life Enrichment Assistant at ACLD and contribute to a vibrant community that fosters growth, learning, and connection among individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

In this rewarding role, you will help clients explore their interests, develop new skills, and build lasting relationships with peers and staff.

Main Responsibilities:

• Plan and facilitate recreational activities and outings that promote socialization and fun;
• Assist clients in exploring their passions and interests through creative expression and experimentation;
• Help clients set and achieve personal goals, focusing on self-advocacy and empowerment;
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a welcoming and inclusive environment;
• Document client progress and experiences.

Qualifications:

• Clean, valid NYS Drivers license;
• High School diploma or equivalent;
• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a related field;
• Enthusiasm, creativity, and a love for lifelong learning;
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
