Line Operator

Job Title: Line Operator 

Overview: 

A Line Operator is responsible for maintaining daily activities on the production line, including safety, quality assurance, and minimizing downtime. This role requires flexibility to work over 40 hours per week, weekends, and varying shifts. The Line Operator reports to the shift Production Supervisor.

  Key Responsibilities: 

•   Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe working environment.
•   Complete shift production and reporting paperwork.
•   Report unsafe conditions, acts, or injuries to the Production Supervisor.
•   Assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
•   Safely operate forklifts and perform necessary maintenance.
•   Maintain effective operation of production lines and earn required certifications.
•   Adhere to the product sampling schedule and maintain facility housekeeping.
•   Ensure efficient tooling changeovers and meet production efficiency standards.

  Required Skills: 

•   Mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities.
•   Safe operation of heavy machinery (e.g., forklifts).
•   Basic computer literacy, reading, and writing skills.
•   Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
•   Self motivated.

  Physical Requirements: 

•   Ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly and stand for 8 continuous hours.
•   Capable of working in extreme temperatures and performing physical labor.
•   Effective use of hands, arms, and legs for handling materials.
