What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist position at acloche?
West Jefferson piping company looking for a CNC Operator. Responsible for using machinery to cut metal pipes such as elbows, cufflings, nipples, etc. Ability to work with oils and lubricants, and perform machine setup. Programming experience not required however above average math skills are required using fractions and decimals.
Client is looking for career-oriented candidates who will show up to work every day and on time. No extensive job hopping or gaps in work history.
Schedule : 6 : 00a-2 : 30p Monday- Friday, w / overtime till 4 : 30pm and Saturdays if needed.
General Overview (must be flexible to complete other assigned task as needed) :
Ability to read and comprehend verbal instructions in English to understand equipment manuals.
Math skills required - add, subtract, multiply, divide, and ability read a tape measure.
Maintain records, take inventory and prepare reports as required.
Perform Q.A. Inspections, measure parts and look up parts drawings.
Must be able to maintain production standards on machines.
Candidates familiar with Landis Pipe Threader Machines or Pipe's Bending Machines a plus.
Physical :
Ability to work with medium lifting while standing, bending, walking, banding and working on equipment. Lifting can be up to 50 lbs.
Ability to perform basic setups and minor adjustments on machines.
Working Conditions :
Factory setting, non-temp controlled, may get dirty as you will be working with metal pipe and oil, steel toed boots required. Safety glasses and ear plugs provided.
