Job Summary
Adams County Manor Home Health is looking for a OASIS Review Nurse responsible for reviewing and analyzing OASIS assessments to ensure they accurately reflect patient conditions and comply with federal and state regulations. This role involves collaborating with clinical staff to address documentation discrepancies, providing education on best practices, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. A strong understanding of ICD-10 coding and OASIS guidelines is essential.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of clinical documentation to assess the necessity and appropriateness of medical services provided to patients.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care through treatment plans and alternatives when necessary.
- Utilize knowledge of ICD-10 coding, DRG classifications, and Medicare regulations to ensure accurate utilization review processes.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies related to utilization review.
- Provide education and support to clinical staff regarding utilization review processes and best practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, health information management practices and outpatient care standards.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations for care management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and operational efficiency.
- Support the development of clinical guidelines and protocols based on best practices in utilization management.
Requirements and Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice professional nursing in the state of Ohio is required.
- One (1) to two (2) years of clinical home health experience is required.
- Knowledge of federal regulations and state of Ohio licensure requirements.
- Possess and maintain CPR certification.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and coding systems, including OASIS and ICD-10.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and providers.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour
