What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Nursing Assistant PRN position at ACMC Healthcare System?
This is a PRN (as needed) position. If hired, the new employee must be able to attend at least 4 days of day shift orientation to be scheduled upon hire.
The role of the Patient Care Nursing Assistant is integral to Ashtabula County Medical Center's Mission to provide quality patient care to our community. We are looking for a compassionate, energetic person to join us in providing the best most compassionate care to our patients!
Duties
- Performs various patient care activities and related services under the direction of licensed staff. Duties include ADLs, vitals, feeding, bathing, dressing, mouth care and other direct patient care duties as assigned.
Experience/Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Basic computer skills required
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- At least one year of experience providing direct patient care experience or completion of a Medical Surgical Clinical required to work PRN role
Required Licensure or Certification
- BLS certification to be obtained during orientation required.
Required Physical and Environmental Demands
- This job requires the ability to walk six to eight miles in an eight-hour shift and to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- This job also requires that an individual be able to work under periods of high stress and in a consistently fast-paced environment.
