Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm
Training Requirement: 6 weeks of training in Beloit, WI or Houston, TX
American Construction Metals (ACM) is a rapidly growing manufacturing Strategic Business Unit of ABC Supply and is currently seeking a Production Operations Manager.
In this role, you will oversee both of the production and raw goods warehouse teams. In addition, you will be responsible for production scheduling, monitoring product quality and ensuring that production delivery schedules are on time.
Specific duties include:
- Ensuring that all department associates are following all safety policies and procedures
- Designing daily and weekly production plans
- Providing leadership and direction to the production team and encouraging associate engagement
- Handling product quality questions and service concerns
- Managing production scheduling, inventory control and capacity planning
- Leading safety and training program meetings
- Communicating effectively with operations and logistics managers
- Assisting with the interview process of new associates and monitoring their performance once hired
- Troubleshooting production process problems and/or product quality
Qualifications include:
- College degree (Manufacturing Management, Engineering or other related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous experience in manufacturing supervisor role is required
- Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) or similar ERP system is required
- Six Sigma and LEAN training, Green or Black belt certifications are strongly preferred
- Experience with ISO compliance and completion process
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and works well under pressure
- Production planning experience
Physical Demand:
- Associate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for a full 8-hour day.
Work Environment:
- 100% manufacturing setting
- Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
- Associate will have exposure to typical working conditions within the manufacturing environment, including but not limited to, seasonal temperature changes, occasional exposure to exhaust fumes, dirt, dust, debris, and grease, moving forklift equipment, and pinch points on machinery.

Annual Salary Range
$63,000 - 73,000 annually. Based on experience & qualifications.
