Position Overview: Acme Concrete Paving Inc. is seeking an motivated Shop/Yard assistant to help ensure our Maintenance Facility operates at peak performance. The ideal candidate will support our shop and yard operations by maintaining equipment, organizing materials, and ensuring a clean and safe workspace.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily operations in the shop and yard, including equipment maintenance and organization.
• Organize and maintain inventory of materials, tools, and supplies.
• Operate various types of equipment such as forklifts, loaders, and other tools as needed.
• Assist with loading/unloading equipment, supplies, and materials.
• Ensure the yard and shop are clean, orderly, and safe.
• Pressure wash and clean equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Assist in preparing equipment and tools for project deployment.
• Support the shop manager and other team members as needed.
• Drive a ¾ ton or larger pickup with a trailer attached

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a drug test
• Previous experience in a shop, yard, or warehouse environment is a plus.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform minor repairs.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment (training will be provided if necessary).
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The salary for this position is $16.28 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience.
