Warehouse Lead- Receiving Team

Acme Distribution is seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Receiving Lead to join our team at our Fife, WA operation. This leadership role is integral to maintaining the smooth flow of warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency. The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing a team of warehouse laborers, and performing various tasks such as order picking, loading and unloading, and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and Supervise Warehouse Team: Oversee the work of warehouse laborers, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards. Provide guidance and training on proper equipment operation, safety protocols, and warehouse procedures.

• Order Picking & Sorting: Direct the team in picking and sorting orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring that all products are correctly identified, packed, and ready for shipment.

• Equipment Operation: Safely operate stand-up forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials and load/unload trucks.

• Loading & Unloading Freight: Lead the team in the efficient loading and unloading of palletized goods onto and off trucks, ensuring proper handling and minimizing damage to both freight and equipment.

• Quality Control: Ensure accuracy of orders by overseeing order checks, counts, and product condition, using RF scanners as needed to verify information.

• Warehouse Organization & Cleanliness: Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse by ensuring goods are stored properly, equipment is maintained, and the warehouse environment remains safe and organized.

• Training and Mentoring: Provide on-the-job training for new employees, helping them become familiar with warehouse processes, equipment operation, and safety procedures.

• Safety Compliance: Enforce warehouse safety protocols and ensure all equipment is operated according to safety guidelines. Report any safety hazards to management.

Qualifications:

• Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations with a focus on forklift operation and order fulfillment.

  • Strong experience operating stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs of cases while performing order selection tasks.

  • Previous experience leading or supervising a team is highly preferred.

  • Ability to operate RF scanners and other technology used in warehouse processes is a plus.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and accuracy.

  • Basic math skills for counting and order checking.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
     

Shift: Mon-Fri 5am start time

Pay Rate: $23-25/hour
