What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Daycare Attendant position at Acme Dog Run?
Acme Dog Run is a small, popular, tight knit dog daycare in Gowanus, Brooklyn. We are seeking a VERY energetic, enthusiastic handler with excellent attention to detail and a loving, warm approach to join our team. This position involves helping to manage a large group of dogs of all breeds and sizes in a cage-free play environment.

- Do you love dogs? That's great! Us too, but there's more to being a great handler than just loving dogs.
- Have you worked with dogs before? You must have prior dog handling experience - no exceptions.
- Do you have an energetic, outgoing and warm personality? Dogs thrive on warm, happy and confident humans. Grumps and lazybones need not apply.
- Are you very comfortable with dogs of all sizes, breeds and familiar with dog-play? Are you able to recognize appropriate play and notice signs of inappropriate interactions before they escalate?
- This is a physically demanding job that requires a knack for multitasking and HUGE attention to detail. You will be on your feet for the entirety of your shift and you must be ready to clean! There is a lot of cleaning involved in this position - all while keeping a close watch on your canine buddies.
- This is a part-time job of about 18-28 hours per week, occasionally more. Punctuality and a strong work ethic are extremely important for this position.
- This position includes morning, evening, and weekend shifts. We are also looking for overnight handlers.
- Only fully vaccinated candidates will be considered.
