POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our growth and expansion strategy in the Life Sciences Market has created an outstanding opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager (West Region) to join Acme-Hardesty, a four-time (2019-2021) Best Places to Work in Philadelphia award winner. Under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Life Sciences, Product Technology & Pricing, you will develop sustainable, profitable sales to customers in the Food & Beverage, Nutraceutical, and ultimately pharmaceutical industries. Your region will be based in the West Region of the United States with up to 50% travel once current travel and customer visitation restrictions normalize.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Develop profitable and sustainable sales in assigned territory
- Maintain, expand, and profitably grow existing sales territory working closely with new and existing customers
- Prospect and develop new customers through the offering of existing products as well as inventory from our rapidly growing product portfolio
- Manage the day-to-day business of territory
- Partner with our customers and develop innovative solutions to their formulation challenges
- Inform, influence, and motivate strategic sales at multiple levels and with all buying influences at a customer
- Excel at partnering with internal support (technology, customer service, supply chain, sourcing) organizations to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Further the culture of Acme-Hardesty by demonstrating accountability in alignment with our cultural beliefs and a See It, Own It, Solve It, Do It business approach
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related technical discipline preferred
- 10 - 15 years’ experience in consultative selling to nutraceutical, food, and beverage companies
- Knowledge of sweeteners, proteins, fibers, and plant extracts is highly desirable
- Expertise in other markets such as pharmaceutical is a plus
- Knowledge of domestic and international supply chain is helpful in this role
