Position Summary :
The Busser plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area and contributes to the guest experience. Bussers work closely with the waitstaff and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clear tables promptly and efficiently after guests have finished their meals, ensuring that used dishes, glassware, and utensils are removed.
- Reset tables with clean and properly arranged table settings, including linens, cutlery, glassware, and condiments.
- Assist in delivering food and beverages to guests' tables, working closely with the waitstaff to ensure accurate and timely service.
- Pre-bus tables by removing empty plates, glasses, and clutter throughout the meal, keeping the dining area clean and organized.
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing any guest requests or concerns related to table cleanliness or organization.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the dining area, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces as needed.
- Restock and replenish necessary items, such as napkins, straws, and condiments, at each table.
- Collaborate with the waitstaff and kitchen staff to ensure smooth coordination of service, including communicating special requests or modifications to orders.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, and any additional equipment required for special events or private dining reservations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including ensuring that bussing stations are properly stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist in the disposal of trash and recycling in accordance with waste management guidelines.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Support other team members as needed, including helping with special events or providing assistance in other areas of the restaurant.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, contributing to a harmonious and efficient work environment.
- Polish glassware, plate ware and silverware as needed.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
