Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Foreman to join our team in Martinez, CA. The Foreman will play a key role in the assembly and dismantling of scaffolding structures, ensuring safety and efficiency while mentoring apprentices and working closely with the project manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scaffolding or construction, the ability to work independently, and flexibility to travel to various job sites. Experience in a bilingual (Spanish-speaking) work environment is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Safely assemble and dismantle scaffolding and shrink-wrap structures at various job sites.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company standards.
- Inspect scaffolding materials for defects and report any issues to the foreman.
- Mentor and assist apprentices in learning proper scaffolding techniques and safety practices.
- Load and unload scaffolding equipment and materials securely.
- Assist with planning and executing scaffolding designs and layouts.
- Operate Class 5 and 6 trucks to transport scaffolding equipment (as needed).
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
Requirements:
- Must have scaffolding experience (minimum 5 years)
- Ability to read and interpret scaffolding blueprints and designs.
- Must be drug-free and pass a drug test.
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Flexibility to travel to job sites as needed.
- Willingness to work in a bilingual (Spanish-speaking) environment or learn basic phrases.
Preferred:
- Forklift certification and experience with flatbed trailers.
- Experience mentoring apprentices or less experienced team members.
- OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain).
