ACME MacDougalls’ Cape Cod Marine Service (Servicing the Finer Yachts since 1938) located on picturesque Falmouth Harbor, Cape Cod MA, has an immediate entry level position open for yard help. The right candidate would be responsible for performing all tasks and procedures related to maintaining yard cleanliness, organization and assisting marine techs. This is a great opportunity for career growth and training. We are a full-service yacht repair and marine facility servicing yachts up to 120 feet.

· Assist Marine Technicians and perform scheduled work as assigned

· Customer Boat Detailing/Shrink Wrap/Winterizing Boats

· Prop Speed/Boat Bottom Sanding/Painting

· Coordinate and be proactive in planning material needs for work being performed

· Ensure time is properly documented and charged against appropriate boat and work order

· Must be physically and medically capable to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) required for the job as prescribed under OSHA standards.

· Must comply with OSHA standards and best safety practices.

· Perform other duties as needed.

Required Education and Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred

· 5 years’ experience preferred

· Previous experience with gel coat and fiberglass preferred

· Able to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and targets

· Reliable with good time management skills and the ability to organize and prioritize work

· Adaptable to working in a fast-paced environment

· Must enjoy working outdoors

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Must be able to swim

· Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluation situations and making decisions.

· General seamanship knowledge, boating right of ways rules, basic navigation, and inshore and offshore mooring techniques.

· Work tasks may be performed both indoors and outdoors.

· Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

· Frequent walking, reaching, bending, turning, and stooping,

· Outside work for extended periods of time in various weather conditions.

· Normal vision and hearing ranges required.

· Must be comfortable using all dock equipment and materials (gas pump, boats, ropes, anchors, among others).

Work Environment

· Outside work for extended periods of time in various weather conditions.

· Working in wet and slippery conditions. Frequently working in an outdoor, hot, and damp environment.
