Job Summary: The Maintenance and Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and safety of manufacturing facilities and associated equipment. Key Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance and Operations:
Manage the maintenance and repair of complex manufacturing equipment and systems, including CNC machines, robotic systems, and specialized aerospace manufacturing tools.
Implement and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and minimize production downtime.
Develop and manage a facility maintenance schedule that aligns with production schedules and minimizes disruptions.
Team Management:
Lead, train, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and facilities staff, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and safety standards.
Coordinate work assignments, manage team performance, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with aerospace industry regulations, including AS9100, FAA, and other relevant standards.
Develop, implement, and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and mitigate risks.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
Budget and Resource Management:
Prepare and manage the maintenance and facilities budget, including forecasting costs and monitoring expenditures.
Oversee procurement of maintenance supplies, spare parts, and tools, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
Manage contracts with external service providers and vendors, ensuring performance meets required standards.
Facility Improvement and Projects:

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience (typically 5 years) in facilities management, maintenance, or engineering within an aerospace or high-tech manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of aerospace manufacturing equipment, systems, and industry regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a technical team.
- Experience managing budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to respond to emergencies effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in facilities management (e.g., IFMA) or relevant aerospace industry certifications.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Project management experience, including managing facility renovations or upgrades.
Working Conditions:
- May involve working irregular hours or being on-call for emergency situations.
