The Acoaxet Club is seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Host to join our front-of-house team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating a positive first impression. The Host is responsible for greeting guests, managing seating arrangements, monitoring restaurant activity to determine dining flow, and ensuring a seamless dining experience. Key responsibilities include:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a positive first impression.
- Monitor restaurant activity to determine dining flow.
- Efficiently seat guests based on table availability and dining preferences.
- Manage waitlists accurately and communicate wait times to guests.
- Answer phone inquiries and handle reservation requests.
- Oversee and assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, etc.
- Helps fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships.
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand
- Collaborate with the service team to ensure smooth transitions
- Adhere to restaurant policies and procedures
Candidate Qualifications
- Previous work experience as a Host or Server
- Understanding of restaurant etiquette
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations
- Experience in managing reservations
- Demonstrable customer-service skills
- Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
