Job SummaryThe Field Superintendent is responsible for coordinating and managing all field activities related to fire sprinkler installation projects. This position works in close collaboration with necessary offices, ensuring the adherence to quality programs, procedures, and work instructions, with a strong focus on field activities. Additionally, the Field Superintendent plays a crucial role in coordinating service calls. This role requires effective communication and excellent organizational skills to ensure the successful completion of fire sprinkler installation projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:
· Schedule and coordinate all field activities, including internal pre-construction meetings and permitting, ensuring coordination with sales and design personnel prior to meetings.
· Visit job sites regularly to push coordination of work with other trades, maintaining effective communication with all involved.
· Plan and update manpower scheduling and pipe installation based on project schedules with lead time of three weeks, updated every two weeks.
· Ensure timely provision of materials, plans, and information to foremen and establish communication with project General Contractors/Superintendents.
· Ensure all materials are ordered and delivered, and the material is thoroughly inventoried against the original PO and the packing slip, in coordination with purchasing department.
· Procure necessary equipment for each job or specific need.
· Participate in weekly progress meetings to report on job progress, changes, and completion status, communicating any changes to original designs to appropriate contact.
· Oversee punch-list completion.
· Report any delays, personnel issues, or safety concerns to the supervisor in a timely manner.
· Review and evaluate field employees and subcontractors in accordance with company policy, informing management where necessary when disciplinary action is necessary.
· Complete tool inventory checklists on a quarterly basis, reporting any lost or stolen tools.
· Ensure compliance with safety programs, policies, and procedures and coordinate safety training.
· Maintain daily communication with contractors, field personnel, and customers.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for repair needs.
· Proficiency in operating computers and tablets, using Microsoft Office, and reading electronic blueprints.
· Ability to train and guide others effectively.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required;
· Previous experience in fire sprinkler installation or related field.
· Prior experience in a supervisory or management role is highly desirable.
· Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to drive, hear, and see in color, close and far distances, peripheral, depth, and adjust focus.
· Frequent balancing, standing, and walking for extended periods and reaching above and below shoulders.
· Occasional crouching, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 lbs), sitting, stooping, twisting, working at heights, bending, ascending and descending step stools, ladders, and stairs.
· Performance of installation tasks.
Work Environment:
· Frequent local travel is required.
· Frequent work both inside and outside, exposed to hot/cold temperatures, loud noises, and moving machinery.
· Occasional exposure to electrical hazards, chemicals, uneven and slippery surfaces.
· Consistent use of all appropriate personal protective equipment as required by company safety policies.
