GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a self-starter intern candidate with a diverse background who is not afraid to get their hands dirty to support a variety of project efforts and help create and build new entertainment experiences. We are looking for a creative problem solver with sharp technical, organizational, and creative skills who can thrive in projects where minimal instruction and direction is provided to achieve desired results. This role reports directly to the Strategic Engineering and Development team and will assist in day-to-day tasks that have a direct impact on projects with high-profile clients. You will perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to the coordination, project management, engineering, research, development, and supporting the delivery of show, ride, technological, and experiential production elements for various projects as required. The intern candidate will gain experience in the production field and enhance their skills in developing creative technologies.
DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
· Diverse skillset encompassing areas such as project management, coordination, engineering, technical production, visual arts, and software. Must be able to clearly express oneself in a variety of mediums.
· Experience with software applications such as CAD (e.g., Solidworks, AutoCAD, Rhino, Fusion360), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, etc.), Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, etc.), Unreal Engine, Blender, etc.
· Direct first-hand experience with mechanical design, mock-ups and prototyping, user testing, etc. Looking for someone who can demonstrate things that they themselves have built.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve technical issues and challenges. Looking for a curious and dynamic thinker who is a flexible problem solver, willing to ask questions, and follows an iterative process to find the right solution.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with minimal supervision and guidance. Demonstrates strong critical thinking with a self-starter attitude that allows the candidate to jump into a project or challenge and find ways to apply their skills and knowledge in new way.
· Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients effectively.
· Experience working on project teams, especially cross-collaborative teams of people with diverse skills/backgrounds.
· Knowledge of current trends and innovations in the entertainment industry a plus.
· The ideal candidate is one who can demonstrate comfort working in situations that are highly subjective with few previously established paths to success.
· Leadership experience preferred.
