Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School-Age Teacher to join our educational team, working with kids 5yr-12yrs. Summer is coming up and we offer summer camp within our facility, we are looking for someone to help make this summer fun! This role involves working with children, lesson planning, physical activities, field trip supervision and lots more! This is a year round position in our School-Age classroom.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters positive relationships.
- Provide individualized support to students, including those with special educational needs.
- Incorporate physical education activities into the curriculum to promote health and wellness among students.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance the overall educational experience within the school community.
- Maintain an organized classroom setting that is conducive to learning.
Requirements
- Experience in childcare, preschool settings, or early childhood education is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for supporting diverse learners.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create an inclusive environment for all students.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering literacy education among young learners.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $10.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
