Role Summary:
The Sterile Technician will work hand in hand with our doctors and dental assistants and plays a critical role in the sanitation and infection control efforts within the dental office. Their duties include sterilizing instruments and equipment, processing and maintaining inventory, while supporting the flow of patient schedules by assisting chairside or helping clean operatories.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
· Preparing medical equipment and instruments for decontamination
· Operating equipment to clean, disinfect, and decontaminate surgical instruments, medical devices and equipment.
· Inspecting instruments and equipment for signs of damage and wear and tear
· Unpacking, checking, and stocking new equipment, instruments, and devices.
· Assisting the doctor and clinical team in various duties to keep the patient schedule as timely as possible
· Monitoring temperature and humidity conditions in storage areas.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Extensive knowledge of the best practices for infection control, and hazardous waste disposal and emergency preparedness.
· Attentiveness to detail to monitor working conditions, inspect equipment, and oversee the decontamination process.
· Organizational skills to efficiently fulfill supply requests.
· Strong oral and written communication skills to interact with team members and maintain accurate records.
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Strict compliance with OSHA, HIPPA, and CDC
Physical Requirements:
· Repetitive use of hands to handle and control objects, tools or controls and fingers to grip, move or assemble small objects.
· Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
· Ability to lift 30lbs.
