POSITION SUMMARY
This role will partner with business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement. To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and translate them into people priorities and actions. You will also act as a change agent driving for results by building organizational capability and performance. As required, this role will lead HR projects tied to the overall HR strategy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide day-to-day human resources support to employees with the underlying objective to strengthen employee relations and engagement to enhance a positive work environment.
- Serves as a key Employee Relations contact for facility to respond and follow up to day-to-day HR related issues such as performance management, benefits questions, attendance, payroll, and other workplace concerns.
- Manages ADP onboarding completion for new hires and assures completion of all new hire documents I-9, E-Verify.
- Program Lead for Ohio Workers’ Compensation monitoring and managing all Workers’ Compensation claims.
- Update and prepare OSHA 300 and OSHA 301 forms required for yearly submittal.
- Coordinate and monitor hourly employee reviews process for target completion.
- Manage and resolve all mid-level to complex employee relations issues.
- Counsel employees and managers on job related issues, including providing assistance to managers on performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct investigations and make recommendations based on findings by providing problem resolution through policies and procedures interpretation
- Partner with the Recruiting team to assist in recruitment and selection processes as necessary and execute sourcing strategies, local career events, and local marketing campaigns.
- Plan, organize, and lead human resource activities, including employee engagement events and community involvement events.
- Consult and advise on cyclical human resource processes such as succession planning, talent reviews, performance reviews and the annual merit planning cycle.
- Walk the floors to interact with all employees and build a positive work environment.
- Assist Payroll and Benefits Human Resources Business Partner in actively planning for and owning annual open enrollment, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives
- Lead company-wide Employee Wellness intiatives
- Ability to effectively use HR systems like ADP, in house system APLX and MS Word and Excel.
- Meet with employees, supervisors, and business leaders to address concerns, and mediate differences between employees and managers.
- Facilitate the employee survey process including exit interviews, engagement surveys to encourage completion rates.
- Manage the Legal and Compliance documents related to ADA, Workers Compensation, FMLA.
- Build and utilize HR metric dashboards to recognize trends. Partner with plant leadership to develop strategic plans to proactively address areas of concern.
- Assist Compliance Team with application of company business licenses.
- Other duties or projects as assigned by VP of Human Resources.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business or Human Resource Management
- 5 years of HR experience
- Experience working within manufacturing industry highly preferred or warehouse
- Working knowledge of U.S. labor laws preferred
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now
- Certified HR Professional through SHRM (CP/SCP) or HRCI (PHR/SPHR) preferred
