experienced System Design Engineer to join our team.
This role focuses on the design and implementation of low-voltage home automation
and lighting control systems, requiring both technical expertise and creative
problem-solving to meet the unique needs of our clients. Success in this position
involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design customized, high-quality
solutions that exceed client expectations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within
scope, and aligned with our companys high standards of excellence.
As a System Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our
offerings, contributing to the seamless integration of technology into residential spaces
while maintaining a user-centric approach. Your contributions will directly enhance our
reputation as an industry leader in home automation and lighting solutions.
This is an in-office position based in Miami, with some local area travel required
oversee projects, conduct site visits, and engage directly with clients. By joining our

Responsibilities:
- Meet with new and existing clients for initial and continued consultations regarding their feature requests both architectural and technological.
- Complete necessary documentation associated with the design and deployment process including initial system design notes, creation of CAD related drawings (e.g. Plans, Elevations, Details, etc.) and creation of the systems bill of materials through iPoint.
- Assist in the creation and formatting of CAD drawings and architectural design documents.
- Assist in the creation of full system wiring connection schematics using MS Office Vis
- Support the design team with AV and lighting design/control related tasks.
- Help prepare detailed elevations and design guidelines for installation technical teams.
- Site visits confirming the coordination of plans set to field deployment expected to be completed on an as needed basis.
- Upgrade abilities and proficiency by independently learning the skills of the trade supported by the guidance of the team leader.
- It is expected that professionalism and courtesy will be expressed to all team members & clients at all times in both spoken and written forms of communication.
- Communicate via email and site visits with team members, clients and other trade professionals.
- While most projects are located in South Florida (Dade, Broward, & Palm Beach counties) there are times when travel will be required.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or a related field
- CTS or equivalent is preferred.
- Base knowledge of project management tools and techniques.
- Base knowledge of Slack, Notion and Google's business suite.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering design of home automation
systems (Crestron, Crestron Home OS, Savant and/or Lutron, etc.). - Strong proficiency in CAD software for 2D plans (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Visio for creation of wiring connection
schematics and Rack Builds. - Multi-disciplinary knowledge of the process and trades related to building Luxury
Residences. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. English is required and
Spanish is a plus. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
