This individual should possess strong general ledger expertise and a deep understanding of financial statements.
Job Responsibilities :
- Assists in preparing monthly balance sheets, income statements, and other required financial reports.
- Maintains the general ledger through the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Processes accounts Payable invoices, sets up new accounts, initiates payments, and responds to vendor inquiries.
- Reconciles bank accounts monthly, verifies deposits, and maintains daily cash activity for all bank accounts.
- Issues customer invoices and monitors accounts receivable aging.
- Performs payroll functions.
- Participates in physical inventory reconciliations.
- Maintains the fixed assets ledger and depreciation calculations.
- Prepares job costing analysis and profit margin analysis.
- Assists with internal and external audits; gathers necessary account information and documents to fulfill audit requests.
- Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
- Participates in various department-wide initiatives
- Experience in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
- Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software and accounting software.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and be an effective team member.
