Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and schematics using various CAD software. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and architects to bring projects from conception to completion.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, Revit, and SolidWorks.
- Create and modify schematics, layouts, and construction documents as per project specifications.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs meet functional and aesthetic requirements.
- Draft plans for building structures, infrastructure projects, and other engineering applications.
- Utilize Sketchup for conceptual designs and presentations.
- Conduct quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports.
Experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; experience with MicroStation, Civil 3D, Revit, SolidWorks, and Sketchup is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in drafting or design roles within engineering or architecture firms is preferred.
- Familiarity with 2D animation techniques is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
