Warehouse Associate/Shipping and Receiving

Reports to the Shipping and Receiving Lead and is responsible for efficiently and accurately moving, storing, and packaging warehoused product.

Job Description:

Full Time (40 hours per week). Shipping and Receiving Associates play a key role in delivering to our customers using a forklift and pallet jack to load and unload product, pick, and ship custom products for our customers in various industries. Utilize the warehouse management system and digital scanners to receive product, vendor receipts, and transfer inventories. Contribute to our quality initiatives by identifying defective materials or questionable conditions. Ensures product is accurately stored in the production warehouse. Accurately prepares orders for shipping to customers according to process and specified requirements. Label and marks packages in accordance with various freight systems. Process orders using the companies JobBoss system. Responsible for the safe and careful handling of product and maintaining a safe and clean work environment within the warehouse. Assists with daily preparations for the following days shipping activities. Supports all company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Inventory Management Systems, and other company policies and regulatory requirements. This is an active work environment - candidates will be on their feet, standing, walking, etc. throughout the shift. The position is simple but requires attention to detail.

Principal Accountabilities:

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

· Use of the JobBoss Operating System and barcoding to maintain orders and inventory.

· Inventory management and labeling of product for storage; Store and maintain inventory as directed.

· Ship and Receive product from carriers.

· Pull inventory to fill orders for production and customers.

· Properly package and label orders for courier, LTL, and TL shipments.

· Package, Crate, and preserve finished product to ensure safe and damage free delivery of product.

· May be asked to assist with production and fabrication as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

HS Diploma/GED required for this position. Looking for candidates with good attendance, reliability, a good work ethic, and someone who is enthusiastic. Experience with JOBBOSS operating systems and barcoding for inventory control is desired.

· Must be detail oriented with a strong sense of timeliness and cleanliness

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Must be able to work as a team player, is self-motivated, and willing to learn

· Ability to regularly lift 20-90 lbs.

· Basic mathematical abilities and computer literacy

· Basic Carpentry skills and experience with power tools a plus.

· Candidate should be willing to work overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications:

· Prior receiver, material handler, shipping and receiving associate, warehouse clerk, forklift operator, shipper, or general labor experience.

· General understanding of quality management

· Experience with inventory or warehouse management systems

Working Conditions:

Work will be in a shop/warehouse environment. Periodic weekend or evening work may be expected.
