Under the guidance of a BCBA, the Behavior Technician implements one-on-one behavioral intervention programs primarily in client’s homes or in a clinic or center environment using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Hiring for the following locations:
- Bedford, Brooklyn Center
- Plainview, Long Island Center
- Bronx/Westchester area
Responsibilities include:
- Utilize principles of ABA to implement skills development programs and behavior reduction
- Collect and Record data
- Relay session progress to parent/caregivers after completion of session.
- Maintain clean/organized/safe work environment
- Training provided Registered Behavior Technician track
- Attend Trainings and Meetings
- Must maintain client confidentiality
Skills:
- Must work cooperatively as part of a team
- Must communicate well in written and verbal forms
- Willing to take direction
- Patience with working with young children
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
- Must be able to frequently assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing)
- Must be able to utilize quick body movements
Other Requirements:
- Ability to utilize technology/basic computer skills
- Ability to operate basic office equipment
Travel:
- Required to program center or client’s home or school
Education and Experience:
- Minimum High School diploma or GED required
Salary Range:
- $20-$25/hr
