Summary: The GMP Janitorial Cleaner (Cleanroom) will perform proper cleaning methods onsite in a regulated environment, including vacuuming, emptying trash and garbage containers, wiping, re-stocking supplies, mopping ceilings, walls, and floors. Cleaners must be able to follow and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and accurately document solution prep and cleaning activities in logbooks according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP’s). Duties/Responsibilities:
- Cleans and maintains critical areas of facility using specialized equipment and systematic cleaning procedures.
- Maintenance of entryways and wipe down of areas leading into cleanroom.
- Maintenance of cleanroom floors using cleanroom vacuums and cleanroom approved mopping techniques.
- Maintenance of cleanroom walls and fixtures using cleanroom approved wall mops or wipes.
- Removal and disposal of regulated waste and general trash.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and approved cleanroom protocol promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
- Use proper personal protective equipment and present a professional appearance and conduct.
- Perform repetitive cleaning tasks, including, but not limited to: Vacuuming, mopping, carpet cleaning, stripping/waxing/buffing floors, dusting, trash/recycling and waste removal, restroom cleaning and restocking, glass cleaning.
- Utilize equipment, including but not limited to hand tools, motorized equipment, chemical and cleaning devices to address specific work assignments.
- Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
- Follow all company and customer procedures, policies, and rules.
- Understand customer service and satisfaction.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to stand and wear a cleanroom gown and face mask for up to 3 hours at a time.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirement such as bending, lifting stretching pulling up to 50lb including wearing a backpack vacuum for up to 3 hours at a time.
- Flexible work schedule and willingness to work varying shift.
- While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to climb stairs.
- The employee must be able to drive a vehicle.
- Must have a normal range of eyesight and hearing with or without corrective lenses or equipment.
- Must be able to speak, write and read English.
Education and Experience:
- High School or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 1 year of cleaning experience
- Must be able to work assigned shift hours including weekends and have flexibility to accommodate
possible weekend projects or extended hours.
Salary : $23 - $24
