ACP Fiber Services is a national provider of professional communication services to the telecommunication and utility industry for network infrastructure buildouts and ongoing network maintenance. We are looking for a Project Manager for full-time work out of our Columbia, SC office.
We require individuals with knowledge and experience with project managing of large telecom deployments from inception to completion. Individuals must have a knowledge of OSP and ISP construction including Ariel and underground construction and be familiar with the products and services of Broadband Service providers.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure that a contract for products/services is delivered to the satisfaction of the customer and company.
- Coordinate with company and customer to develop project plans, determine resource requirements and schedule all assets of the project from inception to completion.
- Manage and track expenditures and communicate status and requirements to company and customer.
- Manage and monitor status of all labor and components and verify that work is completed to customer’s satisfaction.
- Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
- Prepare and compile action plans, resolve problems and implement change.
- Track and report all materials and inventory to customer and company.
- Act as lead person for sales opportunities and explore and provide business development opportunities for the company.
- Reports to the Director level and works in collaboration with other managers and supervisors.
Minimum Requirements
- 5 plus years of Project Manager experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher or equivalent work experience.
- Must be very conscientious, accurate, detail oriented, professional and self-motivated.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to effectively communicate with all team members, suppliers and customers.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects and quickly analyze and interpret data.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook.
- Must have previous experience in the telecom or utility environment.
- Ability to produce/use, project-related documents and documentation standards required of a Project Manager (SOW, MOP, Project Plans, schedules, drawings)
- Ability to work in the field at times to ensure the project’s success.
