Utility Crew Member
ACP Fiber Services is a national provider of professional communication services to the telecommunication and utility industry for network infrastructure buildouts and ongoing network maintenance. We are looking for a Utility Crew Member for full-time work out of our Columbia, SC office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Hand dig and back fill trenches
- Cable handling, ISP and OSP
- Carry and load materials to be used on the job
- Operate small hand tools
- Provide ground support for backhoe and drill operators
- Light repair and maintenance of tools and equipment
- Wash and clean equipment and vehicles
- Drive company vehicle to and from job site
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be physically able to endure the daily activity involved with the job
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid DOT Health Card or ability to obtain
- Willing to work overtime as required
- Previous experience in cable/utility installation preferred
- Class A CDL preferred (Higher wage offered to Class A CDL holders)
