IT System Administrator
Located in SW Cedar Rapids, ACP, Inc. is a division of Welbilt, an Ali Group Company, and since 1969, has been a leader in manufacturing and designing commercial high-speed and microwave ovens used in some of your favorite restaurants.
We are seeking a System Administrator to provide onsite help desk support, PC maintenance and repair, server and network administration and application software support, as well as provide virtual support for corporate and other IT business needs.
Key Accountabilities:
- Monitor ticket queue and handle tickets to ensure incidents and service requests are addressed in a timely manner.
- Maintain strong customer service focus and a desire to successfully interact with end-users and peer teams.
- Interact closely with customers to understand their needs and/or requirements.
- Able to coordinate with geographically dispersed teams to achieve results.
- Ensure deployment of PCs (adds, moves, changes).
- Analyze, troubleshoot, repair and document a wide variety of PC, Server and Network problems related to hardware and software.
- Coordinate activities with service desk, network services, or other IT teams.
- Provide diagnosis, resolution and documentation of system (hardware and software) problems.
- Provide after‐hours support for technical issues, as needed.
- Order and maintain inventory of hardware and software.
Requirements/Position Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, plus a minimum of 2 years relevant experience; or equivalent years of education and experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience should include: VMware vSphere; Microsoft Server, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP; Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Azure; Network Administrator (Cisco switches, backups, VPN Tunnels, servers, clients, NAS, Wireless)
- Demonstratable ability to troubleshoot, resolve and document IT issues.
- Ability to independently resolve a wide variety of problems using current job knowledge, research and external resources.
- Be highly motivated and have a strong customer focus, including exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to lift and carry computers and computer monitors up to 35 lbs.
