Overview:

This Sales Manager position is a progressive role that requires time, effort, and hands-on training across multiple departments before fully evolving into the leadership position. The right candidate will train under various roles within the company, including production and sales, to develop a comprehensive understanding of day-to-day operations. This process ensures that the Sales Manager gains the necessary industry knowledge, leadership skills, and operational expertise to succeed in this critical role.

The ideal candidate must be willing to invest in this learning period, work flexible hours, adapt to different responsibilities, and commit to ongoing development before fully stepping into the Sales Manager position.

Key Responsibilities: Progressive Training & Development:

  • Engage in on-the-job training across multiple departments, including production, estimating, and sales, to develop a well-rounded skill set.
  • Learn the company’s sales process, job estimating, customer communication, and field operations.
  • Gain firsthand experience in scheduling, equipment and material logistics, and job site requirements.
  • Work closely with team members at all levels to understand how different departments contribute to overall company success.

People Management:

  • Build and develop the Estimator Team by providing training, motivation, and performance feedback.
  • Plan and conduct monthly sales meetings.
  • Ensure estimators adhere to company protocols and maintain high-performance standards.
  • Monitor sales activity, evaluate estimator performance, and conduct regular performance evaluations.

Customer Management:

  • Support estimators in communicating effectively with customers.
  • Improve customer understanding of the sales and production processes.
  • Address and resolve customer questions and concerns.

Business Management:

  • Oversee the sales process, reviewing proposals to ensure all specifications, equipment, materials, labor, and projected timelines are accurate.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate plans (blueprints).
  • Apply strong math skills to pricing, estimating, and financial analysis.
  • Utilize computer skills, including proficiency in navigating the Google Drive platform.
  • Analyze past sales performance data and project future performance to set realistic sales goals.
  • Identify sales trends and suggest actions to improve performance and profitability.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between the sales department and other departments, including administration, marketing, and production.
  • Handle emergency jobs that require immediate scheduling and communicate these needs to relevant departments.
  • Understand labor, equipment, material, and vehicles required to produce jobs.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support to the Senior Sales Manager.
  • Utilize the Paycor online timekeeping system to log work hours daily, ensuring timecards are correct and approved weekly by Tuesday.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to timekeeping and remote work authorization.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably within a related industry.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Strong work ethic and a high level of commitment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and make informed business decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Starting Salary is $65,000.00
  • Benefits include Vision and Dental, Life Insurance, Short and Long Term Disability, Hospitalization and Cancer benefits, Free Virtual Doctor, Telehealth Services for you and up to nine dependents.
  • 401K plan after 6 months of full time employment. ACPLM, Inc. will make a safe harbor matching contribution equal to 100% of your salary deferrals that do not exceed 3% of your compensation plus 50% of your salary deferrals between 3% and 5% of your compensation. This safe harbor matching contribution is 100% vested.
