Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and completion of asphalt paving and concrete construction projects.
- Operate and maintain construction equipment and tools.
- Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks.
- Drive Crew Cab vehicles with trailers to transport workers, tools, equipment and materials to and from job sites.
- Perform manual labor tasks, including digging, lifting, and carrying heavy objects.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license; Class B preferred. (Must have no major violation)
- Proven experience as a general laborer in construction, preferably in asphalt paving and concrete.
- Ability to operate construction equipment and tools.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous labor tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more).
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and performing physical labor.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment with exposure to dust and fumes.
