JOB OVERVIEW:
Courteously greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating, ensuring Resort standards of service. Assist in preparing the Restaurant for service and maintaining the cleanliness of the room at all times. Take reservations and maintain reservation book/system. Assist in monitoring the guests' needs and all phases of the operation.
REPORTS TO: Assistant F&B Manager
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
AQ, Kitchen/Stewarding service areas.
Job involves working:
- under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold).
- outdoors/indoors.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Staff in AQ, Costa Grill, Bar, Kitchen/Stewarding, Cashiering, Housekeeping, Front Desk, Concierge and PBX.
External: Resort guests/visitors and resident guest/visitors
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.
- Provide legible communication and directions.
- Compute basic arithmetic.
- 2 years experience in similar position dealing with the general public.
- Minimum 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to:
- focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous.
- promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the restaurant and by telephone.
- Provide clear, pleasant telephone communication with proper grammar.
- think clearly, quickly, maintain concentration and make concise decisions in pressure situations.
- Understand guest’s service needs
