Job Description:
The Head of Procurement is responsible for overseeing the Receiving and Purchasing functions at our resort. This involves maintaining a continuous supply of essential items, managing market fluctuations, and ensuring high-quality purchases at competitive prices.
This role requires close coordination with various departments, including timely follow-up on shipments and orders. The Head of Procurement will also work closely with Department Managers to minimize out-of-stock items and emergency purchases.
To succeed in this role, you will need strong organizational skills, fluency in English, and proficiency in database and spreadsheet software. You should also be able to work with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality of guest and resident information.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Receiving and Purchasing functions to ensure efficient operations
- Maintain a continuous supply of resort operating supplies and beverage items
- Monitor market fluctuations and negotiate competitive prices
- Provide recommendations for cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Collaborate with Department Managers to minimize out-of-stock items and emergency purchases
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Fluency in English with strong written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in database and spreadsheet software (Excel), word processing, and other accounting applications
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining records, inventories, and storerooms
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality
