Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Case Management to lead our case management department. This pivotal role involves overseeing clinical resource management, discharge planning, patient advocacy, social work coordination, and medical necessity determination. The Director ensures effective care management strategies focusing on resource utilization, quality outcomes, and adherence to Geometric Length of Stay (GLOS) guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Development: Develop and implement departmental goals and strategies aligned with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical standards.
- Care Coordination: Oversee patient care delivery, complaint resolution, and service quality to meet performance objectives.
- Staff Management: Manage staffing activities, including hiring, training, evaluations, and continued education.
- Budget Oversight: Oversee and maintain department budgets, ensuring compliance with financial guidelines.
- Regulatory Compliance: Direct internal and external audits to ensure regulatory and operational compliance.
- Professional Growth: Foster a culture of professional growth and evidence-based practice integration.
- Performance Improvement: Lead initiatives for length-of-stay (LOS) reduction and process optimization.

Minimum Requirements
- Education:
- Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Master’s Degree in a related field
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Active RN license to practice in North Carolina
- Experience:
- Minimum of three years of management experience preferred
