Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and assessments to diagnose oral health issues.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures, including but not limited to dental extractions, root canal therapy, and endodontics.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and infection control during all procedures.
- Provide pediatric dental care with a focus on creating a comfortable environment for young patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Stay current with advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Experience
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, with hands-on expertise in various dental procedures.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dentistry and familiarity with infection control protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
