We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing Services RN to oversee and drive the strategic direction, quality improvement, and operational efficiency of multiple perioperative departments. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact in a newly acquired facility, ensuring high standards of patient care, staff development, and service integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the planning, development, and continuous improvement of perioperative nursing services.
- Ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective patient care that meets all clinical and regulatory standards.
- Drive innovation and strategic growth, integrating services across multiple departments to enhance patient outcomes.
- Develop, mentor, and manage a high-performing nursing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional development.
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and healthcare regulations, ensuring accreditation and industry best practices.
- Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and financial performance, optimizing operational efficiency.
- Act as a key liaison with physicians, internal stakeholders, and executive leadership, advocating for nursing priorities.
- In the absence of the Nurse Executive, assume leadership responsibilities to ensure seamless operations.
What We’re Looking ForBasic Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of acute healthcare nursing experience.
- At least 4 years of progressive management and supervisory experience.
- Minimum 3 years of direct Operating Room (OR) experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting.
Education:
- Master’s degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business, Public Health, or Management.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Nursing (BSN/MSN) required.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational management skills.
- Proven ability to drive continuous quality improvements in perioperative services.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Experience working in a Labor/Management Partnership environment is a plus.
