Job Title: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
Location: Honolulu, HI
Salary: $130,000 – $170,000 / year
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Schedule: One 24-hour shift (12 hours in-unit, 12 hours on-call) Two 8-hour shifts
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000
Relocation Assistance: Available (Department covers a portion & provides travel coordination)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to provide direct patient care in a Level 3 NICU setting. This role involves assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and specialized procedures while collaborating with physicians and the care team. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal neonatal care and contribute to improving patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Neonatal Assessment & Management: Assess, diagnose, and manage normal-to-high-risk neonatal cases.
- Specialized Procedures: Perform neonatal resuscitation and specialized procedures, including intubation, catheterization, and lumbar punctures.
- Diagnostics & Treatment: Order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe treatments.
- Care Coordination: Develop and document patient care plans, collaborating with neonatologists and the care team.
- Education & Mentorship: Provide education, mentorship, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain unit readiness.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) with a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Active Hawaii RN and APRN licenses.
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) at the time of hire.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP).
- Experience in a Level 3 NICU preferred.
- Experience with micro-preemies is a plus.
