We are seeking an Outpatient Facility Medical Coder to join our team in Portland, OR. This role will be integral in ensuring accurate coding of outpatient procedures and services to support billing, compliance, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
✔Review patient records and assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
✔Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and payer requirements.
✔Work with clinical and administrative teams to clarify coding issues and discrepancies.
✔Maintain a thorough knowledge of coding guidelines, policies, and regulations.
✔Assist with audits and ensure accurate and timely submission of claims.
Qualifications:
*Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent
*1 year of medical coding experience (outpatient experience preferred)
*Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
*Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
*Experience with EMR systems and coding software
