What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Director of Grants position at Acquire Talent Partners LLC?
I am currently working with $125 Million Social Service x Advocacy organization on their Associate Director of Grants search. This position will play a pivotal role in the organization as it continues to grow its portfolio of restricted funding and additional revenue streams in the NY region. This position will report into the Director and manage a team of direct reports. Hybrid schedule is 2 days in office in Manhattan.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial management of all grants, contracts, and revenue streams - ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue, expenses, and reporting with their allocated portfolio
- Collaborate with program managers to develop grant budgets, financial forecasts, variance insights, and strategic planning
- Monitor budgets and expenditures, providing regular financial reports to senior leadership and the board
- Assist with quarterly financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as specific grant requirements from institutional and foundation donors
- Prepare and submit financial reports to grantors as required by grant agreements.
- Audit and approve the allocations and expenditures
- Lead the team to achieve organizational goals, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
- Mentor and coach team members, providing guidance to enhance their skills, career development, and performance
- Implement best practices and continuous improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, MBA, CFA, or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in restricted funds management, with at least 2 years in a people management capacity, preferably in a social services setting.
- Strong knowledge of state and city grant and contract regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct) and advanced Excel skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary : $115,000 - $130,000
